The Lakes School
This is a brand new prep to Year 9 School in South Morang servicing the outer northern area. Phil and his team are pleased to be working with principal Kerrie Heenan to design and build the extensive school grounds around the ancient river red gums. CL has created a diversity of sculptures includes a frog, long necked tortoise, gecko, bluetongue lizard, ladybirds and mushrooms. A sandpit, creek, labyrinth, vegetable garden, ‘unwind mound’, outdoor adobe oven with ‘pizza seating’ and synthetic grass oval are just some of the projects Crafted Landscapes has undertaken at The Lakes School. -

Preston West Primary School
Initially designed in 2005 by Philip and Kate, the landscaping features earth-coloured concrete semi-circular amphitheatre to fit 300 children and a low raised stage with a labyrinth design and central pebbled star. On the completion of the project in August 2006 the kids raced to school in the morning to be the first to stage their own ‘West Preston Idol’ before class! More recent work involved a playground under the existing pine trees and a concrete tortoise sculpture. -
Laurimar Primary School
Crafted Landscapes created a large python to encircle the new sandpit with a creek plumbed up to a water tank. ‘Mr Happy and Mr Sad Caterpillars’ frame the playground. -

Bogong Outdoor Education centre
Phil and the Crafted crew spent a very chilly two weeks in Bogong this July creating these gorgeous creatures for the local Education Centre. They made sculptures of a pygmy possum, Bogong skink and a local species of frog. The indigenous plantings at the Education Centre have been undertaken by local nursery Alpineology (link below).
